Cookie Policy
What this website stores in your browser – kept to an absolute minimum.
The short version
This website is built to ask for as little as possible from your browser. It currently sets no cookies at all – no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, and no analytics cookies. It also loads no third-party trackers and serves its fonts from its own EU server rather than a third-party content-delivery network, so no outside company can set cookies through this site either.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website can store on your device to remember something between pages or visits – for example, to keep you logged in, or to recognise you for advertising. Similar technologies (such as “local storage” or tracking pixels) work in comparable ways. This policy covers all of them.
The cookies this website uses
None. At the time of writing, this site does not place any cookies on your device, and stores nothing in your browser to identify you.
If we ever add something strictly necessary for the site to work (for example, to remember a language preference, or to keep a form secure), we will list it in the table below and explain what it does. Strictly necessary items like these do not require consent under EU rules, but we will still be transparent about them.
- No functional cookies are in use today – this list will be filled in only if that changes.
Analytics, without cookies
To understand roughly how many people visit and which pages are useful, we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics hosted in the EU. Unlike traditional analytics, it:
- sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device;
- does not identify you or build a profile of you;
- does not follow you across other websites.
It only counts visits in aggregate. Because it collects no personal data in a way that can identify you, it does not require a consent banner.
Fonts and other content
Our fonts are self-hosted on the same EU server as the site, so loading a page does not call out to Google Fonts or any other third-party network that could set a cookie or log your IP address with an outside company. We do not embed third-party advertising, social-media widgets or trackers.
Forms
The contact and newsletter forms send their details to our own EU server when you submit them; they do not set cookies in your browser. How that information is handled is explained in our Privacy Policy.
If we ever add something that uses cookies
If in future we add a feature that needs non-essential cookies – for example an embedded map or video, or marketing measurement – we will update this page first and ask for your consent before any such cookie is set. You would be free to decline, and the site would still work.
Managing cookies in your browser
Even though this site sets none, you can always control cookies through your browser settings – blocking or deleting them, or asking to be warned before one is stored. Your browser’s help pages explain how. Blocking cookies will not stop this site from working.
Consent
Because we use no tracking or marketing cookies, there is nothing here that legally requires a cookie-consent banner. If that ever changes, we will add a clear consent choice before any non-essential cookie is used.
Changes to this policy
We will keep this page up to date as the site evolves, and update the date below whenever it changes.
